The building however was in a poor state and in need of major re-work. The plan was always to have a new kitchen in the former downstairs bedroom area and a new garage/workshop for working on the bikes.

Over the years the buildings have remained as a store room but plans have evolved into a more extensive renovations to create over 100 sq ft (125sqm) of new floor space with kitchen, utility room, shower and toilet and double garage on the ground floor and gallery, study and massive bedroom on the first floor. There is no first floor above the kitchen allowing a double height room with roof lights.
